Twitch RTMP Address Explained

What the Twitch RTMP address is, when Streamdzy uses it and why you should let Streamdzy pick the nearest server.

The short answer

The Twitch address is the server your show is sent to. Let Twitch choose the server unless it asks you to pick one.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Open the platform’s live or creator settings and copy the stream key and address it shows.
  2. In Streamdzy, open Settings, Go live, add the place once, and paste the key.
  3. Connect a camera or a phone, then run a short private test and listen to the sound.
  4. Tick the places for the show and press Go live. Keep the key private.

What to know first

Platform menus change. If a name has moved, search the platform’s own help for “stream key”. Each key is kept encrypted on your PC.

Questions

Do I need to change the server?

Usually no. Use the automatic choice unless it fails.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
