Stream With a Tripod Camera

Set up a steady tripod camera for a live stream and add it to Streamdzy, with a phone or webcam on a stand.

The short answer

Mount the camera on a tripod at eye height, plug it in or connect the phone, and add it to the scene. A steady camera makes the stream look more professional.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Add each platform once under Settings, Go live and paste its stream key. The key is kept encrypted on your PC.
  2. Tick the places you want on and press Go live. Your PC encodes the show once and sends it to each one.
  3. Watch the scene, the chat and the connection in one window. Press a scene or an alert whenever you need it.
  4. Press Stop when you are done. The recording of the whole show is already saved on your PC.

What to know first

Your upload speed is the real limit: every place needs its own copy of your picture. The installer is for Windows; Mac and Linux builds are not published yet. Run the upload speed test before a long show.

Questions

What tripod do I need?

Any sturdy tripod that holds your camera or phone at eye height works. Use a phone clamp for a phone.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
