Recording

Record a Tabletop RPG Session

Record a tabletop roleplaying session with a camera on the table and each player’s camera, saved as separate files.

The short answer

Add the table camera and each player’s camera, press Record, and each is saved separately. Edit the sessions into episodes.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Choose what to record: the whole show, one camera, or the screen. The choice is under Recordings.
  2. Press Record. The finished show and each camera are saved as their own files, written in pieces so a crash loses seconds.
  3. Press Mark at a moment you want to find again. The log keeps those marks next to the files.
  4. Press Stop. The session folder opens with the show, the cameras, your voice and the log.

What to know first

Recordings use your PC’s disk: a long 4K session needs a lot of free space, and Streamdzy stops a recording when the disk is nearly full. Check what your computer can do with the PC test.

Questions

Can I record players on their own cameras?

Yes. Players who join with a phone can be cameras, and their own recordings are sent to your PC.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
