Recording

Record a Tabletop Game Session

Record a board or card game session with a top-down camera and your voice, saved on your PC.

The short answer

Point the camera down at the table, record, and the session is saved with your voice. Review the game later.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Choose what to record: the whole show, one camera, or the screen. The choice is under Recordings.
  2. Press Record. The finished show and each camera are saved as their own files, written in pieces so a crash loses seconds.
  3. Press Mark at a moment you want to find again. The log keeps those marks next to the files.
  4. Press Stop. The session folder opens with the show, the cameras, your voice and the log.

What to know first

Recordings use your PC’s disk: a long 4K session needs a lot of free space, and Streamdzy stops a recording when the disk is nearly full. Check what your computer can do with the PC test.

Questions

Can the camera see small cards?

Yes, with good light and a camera close enough over the table.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
