SmartScreen Warning When Installing Streamdzy

Windows SmartScreen warns about the Streamdzy installer because it is not code-signed yet: what it means and how to continue.

The short answer

SmartScreen warns about apps it does not know yet. The installer is from the official page and matches its published checksum. You can continue with More info, then Run anyway.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Find the problem in the list, and try the first step only.
  2. Check it again with a short test, before you go live or record.
  3. If it still happens, run the Health check and the upload speed test, and note what they show.
  4. Update Streamdzy from Settings, Updates, if the problem is one we have fixed in a newer version.

What to know first

Some problems come from the PC, the network or the platform rather than the app. Streamdzy’s checks show which one it is; a connection that is down cannot be fixed by the app.

Questions

Why does Windows warn?

The installer is not yet code-signed, which is common for new apps. Signing the installer is an open question for us.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
