Start Streaming With Only a Phone
Start streaming with a phone alone: the phone is the camera, your PC runs the stream, and no extra hardware is needed.
The short answer
Your phone becomes the camera through the Connect code, and your PC sends the stream. You need a PC, a phone and a platform account.
How to do it in Streamdzy
- Add each platform once under Settings, Go live and paste its stream key. The key is kept encrypted on your PC.
- Tick the places you want on and press Go live. Your PC encodes the show once and sends it to each one.
- Watch the scene, the chat and the connection in one window. Press a scene or an alert whenever you need it.
- Press Stop when you are done. The recording of the whole show is already saved on your PC.
What to know first
Your upload speed is the real limit: every place needs its own copy of your picture. The installer is for Windows; Mac and Linux builds are not published yet. Run the upload speed test before a long show.
Questions
Do I need a webcam if I have a phone?
No. The phone is enough to start. A webcam is a bonus, not a requirement.
