A Just Chatting Stream Setup That Works

A simple Just Chatting setup: one camera, a clean background, a name bar and chat on screen. Set it once and go live from the same scene every time.

The short answer

Use one camera in one scene, add a name bar and the chat, and save the arrangement. Every stream starts in the same picture, so you only press Go live.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Add each platform once under Settings, Go live and paste its stream key. The key is kept encrypted on your PC.
  2. Tick the places you want on and press Go live. Your PC encodes the show once and sends it to each one.
  3. Watch the scene, the chat and the connection in one window. Press a scene or an alert whenever you need it.
  4. Press Stop when you are done. The recording of the whole show is already saved on your PC.

What to know first

Your upload speed is the real limit: every place needs its own copy of your picture. The installer is for Windows; Mac and Linux builds are not published yet. Run the upload speed test before a long show.

Questions

What do I need for a chat stream?

A camera, a microphone, a light in front of you, and the platform account. Streamdzy takes care of the scene and the go-live button.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
