Cast a Game Live as a Commentator
Cast a game live as commentator: the game full screen, your face in the corner and a name bar, with chat and a recording of the match.
The short answer
Capture the game and your camera, arrange them as a commentary scene, and go live. Record the match so you can review the commentary later.
How to do it in Streamdzy
- Add each platform once under Settings, Go live and paste its stream key. The key is kept encrypted on your PC.
- Tick the places you want on and press Go live. Your PC encodes the show once and sends it to each one.
- Watch the scene, the chat and the connection in one window. Press a scene or an alert whenever you need it.
- Press Stop when you are done. The recording of the whole show is already saved on your PC.
What to know first
Your upload speed is the real limit: every place needs its own copy of your picture. The installer is for Windows; Mac and Linux builds are not published yet. Run the upload speed test before a long show.
Questions
Do I need a separate computer to cast?
No. One PC can run the game and the cast, though a second PC gives you more room if the game is demanding.
Want all of this in one app?
Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
