Can My PC Stream? Free Test

Find out if your PC can stream or record at the picture quality you want, with a free check that takes a few minutes.

The short answer

Use the free PC test to see what your computer can encode, then run the Health check in Streamdzy for the picture quality it keeps. The result tells you which setting to start with.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Add each platform once under Settings, Go live and paste its stream key. The key is kept encrypted on your PC.
  2. Tick the places you want on and press Go live. Your PC encodes the show once and sends it to each one.
  3. Watch the scene, the chat and the connection in one window. Press a scene or an alert whenever you need it.
  4. Press Stop when you are done. The recording of the whole show is already saved on your PC.

What to know first

Your upload speed is the real limit: every place needs its own copy of your picture. The installer is for Windows; Mac and Linux builds are not published yet. Run the upload speed test before a long show.

Questions

What does the PC test measure?

Processor and graphics encoding, the picture sizes it can keep, and the upload speed to your platform.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
