Use a Phone as a Camera While Gaming

Use your phone as a camera for your face while you game, so your PC keeps the game and the phone shows you.

The short answer

Connect the phone, place it in the game scene as a small camera, and stream. The game stays on the PC and your face comes from the phone.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. On the PC press Connect. A code and a QR code appear.
  2. Scan the code with the phone’s camera. The phone’s browser opens Streamdzy’s camera page.
  3. Press Start on the phone. It becomes a camera you can cut to, place and style in the scene.
  4. For the sharpest copy, let the phone keep its own full-quality recording; it is sent to the PC when you stop.

What to know first

A phone is a camera, not a second computer: its battery, heat and camera settings set the picture. Wi-Fi works well; a USB cable gives the steadiest picture. Use the webcam test to check the light.

Questions

Will the game lag because of the phone?

The phone sends its own picture, so the game uses your PC less than a second webcam might. Check with the Health check.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
