Phone streaming

Phone Camera for a Lecture Hall

Stream a lecture hall with a phone at the back for a wide shot and the speaker on a second camera, cut from your PC.

The short answer

Put the phone at the back for the room, connect it with the code, and cut between it and the speaker’s camera.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. On the PC press Connect. A code and a QR code appear.
  2. Scan the code with the phone’s camera. The phone’s browser opens Streamdzy’s camera page.
  3. Press Start on the phone. It becomes a camera you can cut to, place and style in the scene.
  4. For the sharpest copy, let the phone keep its own full-quality recording; it is sent to the PC when you stop.

What to know first

A phone is a camera, not a second computer: its battery, heat and camera settings set the picture. Wi-Fi works well; a USB cable gives the steadiest picture. Use the webcam test to check the light.

Questions

Can I see the whole room?

Yes. Put the phone at the back at a wide angle.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
