What Is Screen Tearing?

Screen tearing is when the picture shows two frames at once, with a visible line through it.

The short answer

Tearing happens when the game and the screen are out of step. V-Sync or a frame-rate cap can reduce it.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Read the definition, then find the same word in Streamdzy: under Settings, in the scene, or on the Go live screen.
  2. Try it in a short test recording or a private stream, so the word means something you have seen.
  3. Read the feature page for it to see the settings, then set it up for your show.
  4. Check the pricing page for how use is counted. Every feature is free.

What to know first

Definitions are general; platforms and tools set their own limits and names, so check each platform’s guidance when a number matters to your show.

Questions

Will tearing show on stream?

Yes, if it shows on your screen. Fix it at the source.

Want all of this in one app?
