What Is Resolution?

Resolution is the number of pixels across and down a picture, such as 1080p or 720p. It sets how sharp the picture can be.

The short answer

Resolution is the picture size in pixels. 1080p is 1920 by 1080; 720p is 1280 by 720. A bigger picture is sharper but needs more bitrate and PC power.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Read the definition, then find the same word in Streamdzy: under Settings, in the scene, or on the Go live screen.
  2. Try it in a short test recording or a private stream, so the word means something you have seen.
  3. Read the feature page for it to see the settings, then set it up for your show.
  4. Check the pricing page for how use is counted. Every feature is free.

What to know first

Definitions are general; platforms and tools set their own limits and names, so check each platform’s guidance when a number matters to your show.

Questions

Is 1080p always better?

Only if your upload and PC can keep it steady. A steady 720p often looks better than a stuttering 1080p.
