What Is an Ingest Region?

An ingest region is the part of the world where a platform receives your stream. Choosing a nearby one can lower delay.

The short answer

Platforms receive streams in regions. A region near you usually gives the least delay. Some platforms choose for you.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Read the definition, then find the same word in Streamdzy: under Settings, in the scene, or on the Go live screen.
  2. Try it in a short test recording or a private stream, so the word means something you have seen.
  3. Read the feature page for it to see the settings, then set it up for your show.
  4. Check the pricing page for how use is counted. Every feature is free.

What to know first

Definitions are general; platforms and tools set their own limits and names, so check each platform’s guidance when a number matters to your show.

Questions

How do I pick a region?

If the platform lets you, pick the nearest. Otherwise let it choose.

Want all of this in one app?
