What Is the Noise Floor?

The noise floor is the quiet background sound in a room, such as a fan or traffic. Lowering it makes your voice clearer.

The short answer

The noise floor is the background hum of a room. Reduce it by closing windows, switching off fans and using a closer microphone. Voice clean-up is done in Tunedzy.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Read the definition, then find the same word in Streamdzy: under Settings, in the scene, or on the Go live screen.
  2. Try it in a short test recording or a private stream, so the word means something you have seen.
  3. Read the feature page for it to see the settings, then set it up for your show.
  4. Check the pricing page for how use is counted. Every feature is free.

What to know first

Definitions are general; platforms and tools set their own limits and names, so check each platform’s guidance when a number matters to your show.
