HD vs 4K: What Is the Difference?
HD usually means 720p or 1080p. 4K is four times the pixels of 1080p. For streams, 4K needs a lot of upload and PC power.
The short answer
HD is 720p or 1080p; 4K is about 3840 by 2160. A 4K picture needs much more bitrate and power, so most streams are 1080p. Record in 4K when your PC can keep up.
