How to Make a Minecraft Build Timelapse

Record a Minecraft build from start to finish and speed it up into a timelapse video.

The short answer

Record the build session, then speed the file up in any video editor. The full recording is kept on your PC.

How to do it in Streamdzy

  1. Capture the game window in the scene. Use the window, not the whole screen, so the picture stays clean.
  2. Run the Health check with the game open, so the quality is set for the load the game really puts on the PC.
  3. Add your camera as a layer if you want your face, and turn on the game sound and your microphone.
  4. Go live or record. Use Mark, or the clip button, at the moments you want to find again.

What to know first

Games change their own settings and anti-cheat rules. Check a game’s terms before you stream it, and test a short session first.

Questions

How long is the recording?

As long as the build takes. Recording has no time limit.

Want all of this in one app?

Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
