How to use a virtual camera in Zoom, Teams and Meet
A virtual camera lets other apps use the picture you built in Streamdzy as if it were a webcam.
What it does
Streamdzy sends its output (your camera with its look, a screen, text) to a virtual webcam driver. In Zoom, Teams or Meet you choose that camera instead of your real one.
Set it up
- In Streamdzy press Edit, then Virtual cam and start it.
- In your call app open the video settings and choose the Streamdzy virtual camera.
- Check the preview, then join.
If it does not show up
- Close the call app and start the virtual camera first, then open the call app.
- Only one app can use a camera at a time: close others.
- Restart the call app after installing the driver.
Why bother?
You get background blur, relight, a name bar and a phone camera in your calls, plus one place to record them.
Questions
Does it work on a Mac?
The Windows app has the virtual camera today.
Want all of this in one app?
Streamdzy is a free streaming and recording app for Windows: several cameras, your phone as a camera, going live to many places at once, and recording first so a bad connection never costs you the show.
