Fuidzy vs Trello: the clearest board in software, with no clock

Trello is the easiest collaboration tool ever made — everyone understands a board in about eleven seconds. But cards don't have a length, and columns aren't hours, so a Trello board can never tell you that today is full.

What Trello is genuinely great at

Immediate comprehension. No training, no onboarding, no explaining. The free plan covers up to 10 collaborators with full editing, which is plenty for a small group, and paid plans start at $5 per user per month annually (Premium $10, Enterprise $17.50).

For "where is this piece of work in our process," a board is the correct shape and always has been.

Where it falls down

Kanban has no time axis. "In Progress" is a state, not a schedule. Twenty cards in Doing looks identical whether that's a day of work or a month, so boards drift — the column fills, nobody notices, and the standup becomes a status recital rather than a plan.

How Fuidzy is different

Our columns are hours. A block's position is when it happens and its width is how long it takes. You can still group by tag if you want a board view, but the primary object has a clock attached.

The verdict

Use Trello if you need a shared board that anyone can pick up instantly and time isn't the constraint.

Use Fuidzy if the question is "will this fit this week" rather than "what stage is this in."

Fuidzy is a free timeline planner. No install, no setup, no credit card.
