What they're genuinely great at
Sunsama's guided daily planning is a genuinely good habit, delivered with real care — it asks you to be deliberate, which most tools never do. Akiflow is superb at consolidation: it pulls tasks from everything you already use into one time-blocked day, with excellent keyboard control for people who live at speed.
Both understand the thing most task apps miss: that planning is an act, not a list.
Where they fall down
Cost, mainly. Akiflow at $34 a month billed monthly is roughly $400 a year to arrange things you already own elsewhere. Sunsama at $20–25 is gentler but still a meaningful subscription for a ritual and a calendar view.
Both are also aggregators — they're a better window onto tools you're still paying for, rather than a replacement for them.
How Fuidzy is different
Same ritual, performed by hand on a canvas, for nothing. And we're the source of truth rather than a lens over five other subscriptions — the tasks, the habits, the timer and the shared plan are all here.
Use Sunsama or Akiflow if you need to unify tasks from many existing tools and the subscription is worth it to you. They're well made.
Use Fuidzy if you'd rather have one place, drawn by hand, at $0.
