The short version- Perfect it repairs first, then cleans noise, then levels and tones the voice.
- It runs on your PC and nothing is uploaded.
- It cannot rebuild lost speech or remove heavy room echo completely.
- Compare Before and After before you keep the result.
What it does, in order
- Repair: rebuilds flat-topped clipping where it can, removes clicks and hum, and takes out any DC offset.
- Studio sound: a speech model (DeepFilterNet 3) reduces noise and room sound while keeping the voice.
- Level and tone: a voice chain sets the level, de-esses, guards pops and shapes the tone toward a clear voice.
What it cannot do
It cannot restore speech that was never recorded, and it cannot remove a heavy echo completely. A badly clipped recording stays audible. Re-recording closer to the mic is the real fix.
How to use it well
Start with the recording as it is. Listen to Before and After, lower the amount if the voice sounds watery, and export only when it sounds right. The phone cleanup guide walks through the steps.
