What they're genuinely great at
Zero friction. Apple Reminders is deeply wired into the Apple ecosystem with Siri support and location-based reminders. Google Tasks lives inside Gmail and Google Calendar so tasks appear where you already work. Google Keep is a superb shared shopping list and the fastest way to jot something down that two people can both edit.
Where they fall down
- Google Tasks has no native sharing whatsoever — you cannot share a list or assign anything to another person.
- Google Keep has no folders or hierarchy, which is fine at twenty notes and painful at three hundred, and no rich text at all — no bold, no headings, no tables. Its reminders also don't sync into Google Calendar the way Tasks does.
- All three are lists. None of them can tell you that today's list doesn't fit into today, and none will schedule around your actual energy or commitments.
How Fuidzy is different
Width, essentially. Everything above is a line of text; here a task is an object with a length and a position, so over-committing is visible before the day starts rather than at the end of it.
Keep the built-ins for capture — they're free and instant and we're not better at four-second jotting.
Add Fuidzy when the list stops being the problem and the day starts being the problem.
